Dress 74

20 Sep

I’m going to go ahead and post this early today because it’s Night of Champions tonight (WWE payperview) and my Uncle is coming over and we’re having a mini-party as usual, so I may not get back on.

Today’s dress is for Ethne  (You can get her here).

Here’s the pin it’s based on.

Of course the lace is not the same – in the original it’s flowery but I just used brushes I already had. i do think it needs “something” in the middle where the bodice meats the skirt – like a big snowflake or something. Oh well, it’s pretty as is.

I have six more of these drawn and three colored – it gives me something to work on at night while Dad is watching TV (This used to be my writing time because I stayed up alone, but with the TV on I can’t concentrate to write. I need to learn how to if I ever want to work on my book). Last night we watched Exploding Sun, which wasn’t too bad, though a bit terrifying if the science is at all correct (I haven;t looked into). It reminded me a bit of The Knowing, though it has a better ending.

And with that I am off for lunch. Happy Paper Dolling!

I missed last night because I never made it back to the laptop after grocery shopping, dinner, and watching Smackdown. It happens.

Anyway, today’s outfit is forJo again. (You can get her here). I think I am supposed to be going back and forth equally, but I don’t remember the original goal, so I just do what I feel like and this dress HAD to be done and since Katelina JUST got a fancy dress it was Jo’s turn…

I think it’s safe to say that this is my favorite dress on the entire site. The velvet worked beautifully and I’m really quite proud of this. The next one (that I have ready to go) isn’t nearly as good, but that’s always the trouble with pulling out something awesome – it’s hard to top. The guy who made The Sixth Sense knows all about that. Ha ha! Seriously, his movies since have been okay, but after each one we turn to one another and say “That was no Sixth Sense.” And it’s never going to be. Poor guy.

And now I leave you. Happy Paperdolling!

I’m alive. Blah, blah. I need to take the photos off of my phone and blog over on my Ramblings blog, but I haven’t done it. Still feeling in a funk. I thought the Missouri trip would cheer me up but no beans. Oh well.

Anyway, today’s outfit is forJo. (You can get her here).

This outfit loosely matches Thane’s outfit #66 – both leather jackets. I didn’t like the way the jeans turned out, not quite the texture I was going for, but it’s okay.

Yep. Got nothing else so I’m going now.

Happy Paper dolling!

As this post signifies, I made it home in one piece. Had a good time and wish we’d had a few more days. But then I am greedy.

Today’s “dress” is for Thane  (You can get him here). Of course it’s not really a *dress* – Thane would object to that.

Here’s the pin it’s based on.

This is actually made to match dress 70 I posted for Jo. There’s not really a question of Thane jogging – swimming sure, but jogging…I doubt it.  I did give him a cool new pair of sunglasses.

While we’re on accessories, what do you think about paper doll accessories? Like waterbottles, and laptops, and books, and things like that? Objects that don’t actually attach to them. I always loved them when I was a kid because it gave me items to add into the games, but I don’t know if other people like them or find them to be a waste of time. I ask because I’ve thought about adding items a few times, and then have backed off. So, question time: Do you like paper doll items with your outfits, or do you just like the clothes?

This will be my last post for a few days – we’ll be out of tow until Tuesday or Wednesday. I know I could have a bunch up ahead and scheduled them but who has the time for that? I don’t sadly.

Today’s is a two fer for  for Jo. (You can get her here). It’s based off of a pin for a jacket –

but since it was just a jacket it left me wondering what she’d wear with it. Is she a jogger, out exercising in the early morning:

Or is she up a bit later and scooting out to her favorite coffee shop in a crocheted hat (which also came from a pin)?

You decide.

Now I must go prod hubby into making dinner (it’s his turn).

Nothing exciting to share today. Worked on book covers and managed to only get two done – both of which need changes made. I have three or four more stacked up to get back to round two edits on. Fun times.

We’re watching Star Trek OS Season Three. I’m not sure what episode – Dad had it started before I came in. Star Trek is always good programming.

Though it’s not sci-fi, today’s dress is for Ethne  (You can get her here).

I thought the swimsuit was really cute, and Ethne didn’t have one… but now she does! So she and Jo can go to swim parties together. No one else has one yet, so I guess it’s just the two of them. The sarong didn’t turn out quite the way I had planned, but it’s okay. I think that the extra flap on the right side shouldn’t be there. Oh well, you can always cut it off.

And that’s all for now. Happy paper dolling!

My laptop has been messing up all day – luckily I had this pre-done so at least I can post it.

Today’s outfit is for Jo. (You can get her here).

If you follow the link, you’ll see I changed the color. The base dress is brown and made of heavier material, but since the pin is really for a “sew it yourself” outfit, I figure changing it is only fair. If I sewed it myself it would be different material, so…

Not that I would sew it myself. Because I don’t sew.

Why does she always end up in blue?  For some reason blue is just her color. I dunno.

Anyway, have a good night and happy paper dolling!
